Following Leonetto Cappiello’s poster, Pitters has kept a close link with art. In 1930, a new poster featuring a characterful tiger with a case of Pitters Port wine was created. This artwork has not been signed and the author is unknown.
In 2019 The Fladgate Partnership secured the purchase of the Pitters Port business, bringing the brand closer to its roots, the Douro Valley, in Portugal. The Fladgate Partnership is a leading player in the production of Premium quality Ports, sold in over 105 countries. With the acquisition, Pitters new family owners began a plan of investments in Pitters Port.
In 2020, Pitters celebrates its 100th anniversary. The Centenary is an opportunity to celebrate Pitters’ achievements, re-positioning the brand in the market with its greatest strengths. Pitters is now presented in the market with a refreshed image and new labels. The new labels bring back the tiger face, leveraging the spirit of the tiger that was present in Pitters’ first labels. The new image reinforces the values of this timeless and original brand, preserving Pitters’ individual identity, its history and tradition.
